Project Details
We worked with Damien, the founder and president of DMK Foundation, to build a website that clearly communicates their mission and makes it easy for donors and partners to take action.
DMK Foundation operates at the intersection of security and humanitarian work, sourcing body cameras, communication systems, and protective gear for personnel in high-risk environments, while also delivering training and community support across Florida and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The challenge was building a site that felt credible and trustworthy enough to convert first-time visitors into donors.
The project included:
- A bold, mission-led homepage that immediately communicates what the foundation does and who it serves
- A dedicated donations page with preset giving amounts ($25, $50, $100, $250, $500, and custom) to reduce friction and increase conversion
- Separate pages for their work areas: Equipment, Training, Impact, and About
- A bilingual EN/FR toggle to serve both their American and Francophone DRC audiences
- A founder section featuring Damien Mukalenge, building personal credibility and trust with donors
- Clear display of their 501(c)(3) status, nonprofit registration, and headquarters to reassure institutional donors
- Mobile-responsive design suitable for supporters accessing the site from both the US and Central Africa
- SEO structure targeting nonprofit and public safety keywords for their Florida base
The site was built to serve two audiences at once: American donors and partners looking for a credible nonprofit to support, and francophone communities in the DRC who needed to understand the foundation's reach and programs. The bilingual functionality and clean information hierarchy made both possible within a single build.
